Rare Early 1800s marine button

Was hunting an old homesite and dug what i thought was a typical plain one piece flat button but then noticed what I thought was an anchor and an eagle. It has been identified as a pretty rare 1820s to 1830s marine button. Although in rough condition very thrilled to have saced this piece of history.

Nice save on the early button. Can't recall if I have ever heard of going the mayonnaise route before.
