I know I've probably dug 1000 mason jar lids on old farms, but before tossing this one in my trash bucket I noticed it was different as it had a design on top.

I remember on this site people saying there were rare lids worth $, so I clear it up and looked online. Apparently it sells for $50 on eBay.

It's a boyds moon and star lid made only a few years in the early 1900's

Thanks for looking. I haven't had any exciting to post lately.

Very under rated finds, those lids are. I have found some cool ones but never one of those.

Yep, gives you a reason to always rescan the hole. That got me a pocket knife once under a mason jar lid, I think it was in the jar which broke at some point.

This is cool! I live in my ancestral home - original settlers. I've a basement full of mason jars, and I've been paying attention to them lately. They will pass to my children who likely never will see the "value" in them.
