Is that a skeleton holding a scythe? And a court jester next to him? That is one of the coolest pins I've seen dug. you need to post a better scan, and get these boys here find out what it was made for. Cool stuff!
Carl

You are right about the skeleton, and the juster. I tried to get a better scan, but it just didn't work. Between the justers head, and the scythe there is a date 1868, below at the botton is 1913. There are cross swords on it also. If for some reason I can get a better picture I will post it. I found in crack in the floor of an old pre civil war house.

nice stuff! nice shape too. and send me up a hunk of wild pig. my buddy from ole miss. brought me up a shoulder and i smoked with cherry wood. i mean GREAT! i want to come down and get me one.

I'll have to set my trap. I hunt hogs across the road from house here in texas.

Nice assortment of buckles! That sterling "W" and brass one are really nice.

I've been told those go back to ww1.

Those are some really nice finds,that pin is sharp looking. You should post in whatsit for an ID,if you look at it in just the wrong way he appears to be swinging a detector :}

A nice assortment of quality finds . . . congratulations, hope someone can ID them for you . . . . :thumbsup:
