VTX , We are all browsers, so you will seldom get an instant answer. NOW, you can use a rechargeable battery pack with any detector as long as it is the proper voltage. A 9v batt is a common batt, so any 9v rechargeable will work in your detector. Make sure you get the proper recharger for the battery pack. There are different types of recharters. Frank

Hey, thanks for the response. I took it upon myself to do some research on the 9v thing, and found out the newer LI-ion batteries work fine and I ordered 4 plus the charger off eBay for $37.00 shipped. Should keep me going for a long time.

VTX, That's the best type battery. You can charge them and next week they will still be fully charged. Happy hunting, Frank
