Found this looks like a watch fob/key on a site that ranged from Paleo to Today. Many finds from 1 2 Seminole Wars and Civil War. Can anyone tell by the uniform or other parts what time period it represents?? Tricorn?? Droopy Eagle, symbols, devices, cannonballs... Thanks! tomthing1.jpg tomthing2.jpg

Funny enough, my first thought was Napoleon but I talked myself out of it....

You've got great instincts on much of this stuff. Go with it. Even if you're wrong, we're a pretty forgiving crowd.

Yeah, your right. The other side shows the 'Trophies of War' in the style similar to the Great Roman Empire images.

Here's one that I recently found in Southwest Georgia that is somewhat similar to yours. The button was found at the same site which has no modern trash to speak of so, I assume the relics are from the same general time period. I believe the button was in service from 1815 to 1821 (?) 1st Seminole Indian War.

That is cool! Both the find and possible ID on age.
