rescent Topsail Island trip

Hey everyone. I just got back from a week on Topsail Island, NC. Was able to get in about 4 hours of MD'ing every day except for monday in which it rained all day. I feel like I had a good week but I'll let you guys be the judge.
Here are my totals and I did keep everything. Sort of geekish, isn't it?

12 dimes
9 nickels
31 pennies
1 necklas
1 ring
7 earrings(1 set)
14 tent anchors
7 fish hooks
1 toy car
1 toy robot
1 pair of sunglasses
7 bobby pins
12 fish weights(sinkers)
51 pull tabs
145 bottle caps
and all sorts of other trash

Very good. Any time you can find a ring is a good time. Is the ring stamped with anything inside? Can you tell what it is made of? Those bottle caps are a good indicator that your detector is working and that you are able to find a target once the detector tells you about it. Geekish, nah, a sure sign of very new to the hobby, yes. The more you hunt the more you will dispose of the trash in the nearest trash can to cut down on weight and make more room for the good stuff. :laughing7:

Looks like your Bounty Hunter did a fine job for you. I'm not familiar with Topsail Island, is it pretty busy on the beach? Did you see anyone else metal detecting?

I apologize to everyone for the bad pictures. I did not realize they would come out so big. I will try to take some better ones and make them lower resolution. The ring is stamped with Tungsten on the inside. Topsail Island is just a couple Islands north of Wilmington. Only seen 2 other guys the entire week this year and that was on the last day. Last year when I was there I must Have seen a half dozen or so.
