54th British Reg of Foot. Everything I have found at this site has been so well preserved in renders me speechless. They don't come any better then this button. It's pewter and as y'all know rarely do you find anything pewter preserved so well.'

Nice find! That is in beautiful shape! :icon_thumleft:

Nice find, thanks for the picture. It would be nice if I can find some. Good luck.

Beautiful button and great find. I expect you'll find more nice finds there!

Super nice button! Your in the right area for them, I dug a 52 near Charleston earlier this year. I should say I dug about 3/4 of one, like you said most of the time pewter doesn't hold up that well. I did get the important part though the 52 is all there :)

Pretty awesome. I was a partner in buying an older dug collection all found on Lake George, NY, and quite a few buttons were in that type of condition. Needless to say we did extremely well.

Generally you have to get them deep to have a chance to look that good. That or from fresh water.
