Ring #1 and #2 of the year and Merc dime found

Wheww... what a day of hunting. Started the day out early with fellow hunter pl8man (who had some killer finds today) and ended up by myself the rest of the day. I wasnt going to give up on a ring today. Searched some fields outta town but didnt get squat except for a Merc, my second ever. Had about an hour of light left so I decided to go back out to my local spot which I have searched the most. On my first line across the field, I got a ring finally. Kept going and hit another ring just minutes later. One is marked 10k 1gr , and the other I cant make out the marking but it was probably gold plated at one point and it has some nice little stones in it. Clad was $27.70, my highest for one day. I can't believe the coins you get in one day! :notworthy:

I'm happy with $3-$5 in clad for a 5 hour hunt and you are ringing up almost 10 times that much!! Not to mention two rings and all the other little cool items ( I really like the green back sea turtle with the bent flipper ). I don't think I could kneel down enough times to come up with $30 in clad in a one day hunt! The folks in your area must all have holes in their pockets.

Honestly, I am happy for you.....I just wish I could hit a day or two like that!

GEEZ! I didn't find all that in my whole season detecting and you get it in one freagin day out! Better in your pocket than in the dirt doing nothing! Good work!

Great finds! I believe the gem ring is opal and ruby, which makes a nice visual contrast in the setting. Can't help you with the markings, though.

Nice ring find and merc,congrats to you...and wow,so much clad in one hunt..i found almost 40 bucks,but thats since i started out sep,2010,on weekends.HH

Hey Ryan, I'm just getting caught up on your recent finds after tripping across Glenn's diamond ring, oh man!!! I love the gold ring you found, major payday!!! I also love all the quarters, the merc, which I haven't found myself yet (beautiful coin), and I love the turtle. What is the turtle made of? Wow, congratulations!!! Your aunty.... :headbang:
