Hi all,

I went out this morning before I was able to experience what may be a record breaking hot day (it may reach 90 degrees). Weird for October around here.

Anyway I didn't have any new places to check, so I did something I had done in earlier weeks..I re-checked a yard I had already searched several times before. This time I checked all the "iffy" signals and found a bunch more shtuff..first I found an initial ring very close to a big tree in the front yard.

After digging up another coin or two, I noticed I was being savagely attacked by mosquitoes, so I sprayed myself with repellant and got to really enjoy the rest of my hunt.

When I was finally done, I ended up with a ring, 48 more Lincoln memorials, 4 more wheats, a clad dime, a Bicentennial quarter, 2 more toy cars, a parking token, 6 keys, a dog tag and some kind of heart-shaped pendant.

I found the ring (45th ring of the year!) near a tree in the front yard..I must confess, it wasn't an "iffy" signal - it rang out as a solid pull tab. It's plated, but it's kinda nice.

My first initial ring.

Wheats are 1952-D, 1953-D, 1957-D and 1958-D.

The very rare Bicentennial quarter (they only made them one year ;D :D).

Token says Automatic Parking Devices, Inc., Farmington Hills, Michigan.

These 3 old keys were on the same ring.

That is one loaded yard!

Four more wheats..... it is not over yet. I get obsessed at that point, and figure there are more deep targets left. Make sure to return to this one after a nice, soaking rain.

Thanks, I got it covered as much as I could without passing out from exhaustion! I'm sick to death of the place..I spent so much time re-searching and going over the same areas dozens of times over the last few weeks. I even found a pair of old reading glasses there! We did have that soaking rain, that's why I went back after I had already been there a few times before..that's a good tip and probably why I found so much more.

That'd be nice, wouldn't it?

To my dismay, after countless times in a yard that has yielded multiple wheats, not a single silver coin was to be had >:(

I agree 100% with plehbah.
Mark that yard down for a good wet hunt.
Nice finds.

Nice finds Natman---That Prizm is smokin.

A good soaken rain will bring things to your eyes , that ya passed on before.
I would return there again.

Great job getting the rest out. The ring looks like it's in really good condition.

Strange how sites keep coughing up more stuff like that.

Congratulations, Nat!

I found almost 100 toy cars this year and they're all in a shoebox..it must weigh about 10 pounds..There's some outings I dig more than double that amountof Memorial cents..I've dug 3800 of the things so far this year.
