Had a Friend with this problem a while back before they had cheap motion sensors but he already had a set for his garage. So he set them up pointing in the right direction then hot wired them to a buzzer in his bedroom. Decided he wanted to really get the point through to the kids that were waking him up at all hours of the night. So he got three large bags of trash saved up and his camera and set them by the front door. When he finally heard the buzzer go off and it actually was the kids,(lots of animal false alarms) He opened the door as soon as he heard the door bell and quickly snapped of four or five shots of the little turds as they ran away. Then he took all that trash and spread it all over his front lawn. Then called the police and gave them all the picture evidence and told them he'd staked out the front porch for five nights straight to get the pics but they had already spread the Garbage all around. Took the police all of 23 hours to have all four kids involved at his fron door parents included with offers to have the kids clean up the garbage and assurances that it would never happen again or police would charge them.

Mind you I don't advocate the lying part, but it helps to show these punks that you can out punk them any day of the week, it sure worked for my friend !

Well, the 'kid killer' is finished and installed. However, before I finished it, I actually found out who was doing it, so I went down the street and talked to the father of the youngster. His comment was "I'll be damned". About an hour later, I get a knock on the door from them wanting to apologize.

Now, my device sits idle, only going off when the GF comes over (gives me enough time to close that web page anyway).

It did let me know when my package from UPS was delivered today. (ebay junk).

You are suppose to chain you dog up to the front door(out side). Problem solved.

If PETA complains then chain you lawyer up, out side the door.

OR YOU COULD "HOT WIRE" THE DOOR BELL ouch that hurts -- use a metal button type door bell button and wire a bit of juice to it . ziitt

Yep i thought about that. Today as a matter of fact. I have a couple 'neon sign' transformers around here. A tazer ain't got nothing on one of them!!!. Knock you across the room. Literally.

My kitchen pantry wall is opposite the doorbell, I could drill a little hole in the wall, wire it to the metal surrounding face place of the doorbell, and it would go 'live' when the other alarm went off.... but then again, I'd also have to enable a timer that would only active the 'box' when it was after 11pm at night.

Could you imagine? walking outside after this thing went off at 1 in the morning, and seeing a 12 year old little girl laying on your doorstep, unconscious? YEAHH!!!!!! (oops, I mean, NOO... Bad Mike).

You know, for a nerd like myself, It's unfortunate that I also have a problem with holding grudges. I hated someone so bad one time, I actually starting thinking about building a rocket that would hit this guys house from across town from geo coords from google maps. I called it the "Inter City Ballistic Missle" (ICBM). However, I since got over it... ...wait just a minute, someone's knocking at my door. Some guys in black suites. Be right back.
