Do you remember when you first caught the metal detecting bug? How your mind washed with all the possibilities? You knew it was just a matter of time. And then it happened....you reluctantly dug that target that you knew would be clad or junk just like the prior twenty or so. But to your amazent, it's a ring!!!

Maybe it wasn't a "valuable" ring, but it was your first ring! That immediately makes it priceless. And besides, you reassure yourself that it just as well could have been a gold ring.

Please take a moment and post your first ring story and pictures if you have them!

Happy hunting!

My first ring, vintage gold band. Came out of the ground shining like the sun, 3" down!! I used my brand new AT Gold and visited local park here In Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. It rang up as 66 on the VDI. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1499730356.436956.jpg

My first was an authentic 70's mood ring, found a kids fake tiger eye ring shortly after.

I got this little Uncas ring on one of my first times hunting with Smittyman, it was my first ring... Spring 2014.

Fast forward to Summer 2017, and yes, I found another one, just like it, except smashed and a larger size!

I wish I had a pic but I was detecting a beach and site found an engagement ring. The diamond was pretty small. I took it to pawn and something funny happened. The ladies at the gold store were kind of laughy...like something was funny and it was making me uncomfortable...then i realized that they thought i had bought it for a girl and she had said no...because it was tiny. I was super embarassed...i told them i found it on the beach but I could tell they didnt believe me. Funny story though and pretty interesting that i saw it and didnt have to detect it.

Did you find them near the same spot?

I eye found a sterling silver cross with turquoise in Illinois and a couple of years later, I eye found another one that was identical in Las Vegas. I put them together on a silver chain back to back.

Sorry no picture. My first ring was a plated US Army ring that I found in my old elementary school playground.

My first ring? My FIRST ring? I gave that to a female friend for......... compensation. Win win story. ╦╦Ç
