Road Trip Pics...

Ive recently returned from a great travel opportunity for work purposes. I think technically this still qualifies as a road trip... visiting about 20 different locations in central and western China in about 28 days. Let me add that driving in China -- or in my case being a passenger -- was an exhilarating experience on its own. But I admire a lot of great pics here on the forum so, thought I'd share a few of my own photos with you.

First location was Mt. Gongga and the Hailougou Glacier in Luding, Garze, Sichuan, China.

Nice photographs Obsessive! Thanks for sharing...

Lol. Thanks. I definitely have more. I think I'll just keep updating this thread with new posts.

But as an aside, thoughts of metal detecting did dance through my brain while I was there. But I did not have a md in my kit. Lol.

I did stumble upon an exhibit at one of our locations called Coins in Chinese History, or something similar.

There were lots and lots of them. But here's a few gems I found.

So I guess you could find some cool stuff if you looked hard enough and did your research. I think the their gov't claims right on anything significant... like this little stamp that was found on a river bank. It was maybe 1.5"x1.5" sq.

There were a few relics on display as well..

But in a land where these still exist and littering is an accepted thing.... you're going to be busy. Lol.

Outstanding, my youngest daughter just received her Master’s degree from Tsinghua University and currently resides in Beijing.

Thanks, all. The jet-lag is beginning to wane and I'm becoming a little more selective with the pics. lol. So here's a few random ones.

I do agree it was a great opportunity that Im fortunate to have had. But Im also glad you're liking the pics. For me what I saw and experienced was so unique (as an American who has not done much overseas travel) that I'm excited to be able to share with others a look into some really amazing landscapes from a far away place.
