Rock found on beach

Hello! I don't know much about rocks, but I was walking along the beach yesterday morning and found this really pretty rock. Does anyone know what type of rock this is? Thanks!

1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard Gabi! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. Granodiorite, basically a variation of granite. Intrusive igneous. You have a mixture of quartz, biotite mica and some orthoclase feldspar.

Looks like a piece of Granite with a lot of dark coloring. If you look closely you can see the crystallization of the granite in the reflections.
