Rock ID please

This is a rock I found in a mine? pit near Tonopah, Nv a few years back. I tried to sand/polish one area of it. Any help on id is
appreciated. (sorry about the quality of pic)

Meteor - that's what a friend suggested (turquoise), guess I should take it to an expert. It does have a an appealing surface shine, but I thought turquoise
was more bluish?

I missed this sorry, the Wiki page says: "The blue is attributed to idiochromatic copper while the green may be the result of either iron impurities (replacing aluminium) or dehydration." Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Turquoise It does come in green too especially in the SW. Big pieces especially polished in the matrix are collectable.:find:
