Rock id please

I found this on the beach yesterday. I'm not sure if I should leave it as is or crack that baby open. Thoughts?

Interesting! From what I can see, I do not think that you will find any thing on the inside other than the darker outside material. I looks like your rock has some weathered quartz on the outside, but there may be some on the inside. But I doubt it.
