ROCKS + SHELLS + DRY SAND = SILVER + GOLD + ICE..today's hunt

Another beautiful day for beach hunting; followed the tide out.

Found the silver ring in the first 1/2 hr. of the hunt deep in the rocks/shells.

Was finding only clads and sinkers after 2 hrs, so I decided to "pack it in" and head for the car; kept the coil to the dry sand........ like a vacuum cleaner right on the sand.

I heard a faint , low "foil" sound which I started digging, and digging, and digging until finally down about 14 Inches there lay the 10K ring with what appeared to be a diamond in the center ( later, tested + with diamond tester at home).


The silver ring was put through electrolysis..looks to have been in the ground for some time.

There is an inscription on the band ; not sure of the language; perhaps Hamid may be able to translate it for us.

Nice! Love on the way to the car finds. That is how I got the 2 for one.

Exactly !! That is how I found my first ring, a .925 sterling little gem-swinging on the way to the car! I had been out tearing up the clad (and a '54 Rosie) at a ball field near my house, when I decided I had enough and made a bee-line to the car, but with the coil to the soil. Got a solid 85 hit, thought it was a shallow quarter or maybe silver quarter and BOOM! out pops my first ring! Sure made the ride home enjoyable, smiled all the way home.
