A few days ago I detected again some old areas but also a new place where I found a spear, a key,a hairpin, a bronze fibula, a small bronze buckle.:tongue3:
On a small height located at a distance of 6 km from the site of the first items I found traces of the Romans again, an iron flint, and after a lot of shell shrapnel, I detected a Roman bronze ring.
:hello2::blob3:
From there I went eastward distance of about 4 km along an old location where I was very surprised and happy to find something rare.It's about a bronze disc ring, beautifully engraved with solar symbol, stylized flowers and evil-eye that belonged to a german mercenary knight of the Order of Teutonic Knights in 13-14 centuries.
:wav:
To have such a ring on your finger is a really fantastic feeling.I imagine that I'm dressed in armor, helmet, horse riding, sword, crossbow, with spurs to boots and wait the signal to start the fight :laughing7: or my turn to joust :rosette:

So long :hello: and enjoy with the pictures my friends :

BIG congrats!
Dont like an objects, but this big finger ring....very very nice!

These rings are stunning! Never seen a medieval disc ring before. Both the roman and the knights ring are beauties! Your iron finds alone are banner worth because of condition....
Big congrats!

Well I think it's worth it...In places where I know there are signs appear old and old objects always go with "all metal"...So I found spearheads, arrowheads and swords during the Iron Age but also from romans or medieval period and were very well preserved...

Thanks got2dig & Debby (cntrydncr1) :hello:

nice history waiting to see the sunshine in your neck of the woods, nice diggs yo6oej :sunny:

Great finds. That disc ring is one of the most interesting jewelry items I've seen on here in a while! Congrats on the great iron finds too. I clear the iron out of my sites, and sometimes we get interesting and old iron finds. Either way, it's easier to detect after the iron is gone!

Cheers,

Buck
