Yesterday afternoon, the sun was shining, the wind is not blowing and it was only minus 4 degrees.
I was in a forest, where they are found.
The fibula 8x4 cm, 6x5 cm the bracelet.
The bracelet has a very attractive brown forest patine.

Beautiful ! Banner for sure. Nuggy

Wow ! Is your style also called a crossbow style fibula? Amazing. The bracelet patina is perfect. Stunning finds and thank you for sharing them.

Lovely finds , and stunning condition too!! thanks for sharing. Hutch.

Superb patina on both those relics, either or both would look good up top, my vote is in

I think you misunderstood my first post. I was saying that in the US we are lucky to find 300 year old relics and coins. So when I do find something that old I get excited. I can't imagine finding something that dated back to 300 AD. Excellent find!
All right and sorry, I dont speak very well your language. :)

Garabaldi it is not enough to come to England and detect, you need to know where to detect too :)

Taranis now this is kind of find i like to see! Crossbow fibula in great shape, without pin but still in excellent condition with good patina. Bracelet is great, never seen this type... Nice coins too. If i see well thats Gratianus, Constantine the Great with campgate and Constans...

Fantastic finds! Its hard to believe what is under our feet! Your bracelet and Fibula are perfect. It shows that hard work and research pay off. I think I will spend the winter doing my reasearch.Keep up the good work and thank you for posting the pictures!

Oh,and Taranis... that fibula was used from late 3rd century to end of 4th century... after that they were making mostly small p shape fibulas. I think it is made in 350-360 ad.

Also i would like to see more pics and dimensions of bracelet if possible... i never seen that type, so it is interesting for me.

Very cool finds.

Better pictures

More pictures of a bracelet.

This is not a small a hands of gladiator?

This is the best Roman Bracelet I have seen on here.

The Fibula is a type that I'm pretty sure the Military used.

I think bracelet is not small... not all gladiators was big and strong... or male. But that was just guess depending on something i ve seen in my book, and cant remember in which book...

crusader you are right,it is military fibula... the more dots there are on fibula higher rank was soldier who was wearing it.

I could not find anything like either the Internet.

Maybe it is unique... thats not excluded.

These are FANTASTIC and Beautiful finds in Excellent Condition. Congratulations!
