Oh man what a find, banner!

Congrats!

WoW is right!
Roman Gold :o
Would the Bust neccesarily be an Emperor?
It doesn't appear to be a very 'Glorious' depiction.
I've found a coin from the Netherlands here.
So I have a chance at a Roman Via Holland in 2011!
A photo of the back would be appreciated,
Awesome find
Here's another Banner Vote

OMG!!!! Awesome First Hunt Of The Year!!! :hello2: :hello2: :hello2:
Got My Vote!!!

Hadrian actually ruled from the Netherlands for a period, and Antonius Pius bears a passing resemblence to the bust on this intaglio.
Below from 'Radio Netherlands worldwide'
In the second century AD, the Netherlands had not one but two important Roman cities. The first was Noviomagus, nowadays known as Nijmegen in the south-east of the country. But research has revealed that Forum Hadriani – near where the town of Voorburg is today (close to The Hague) - was vitally important to the Roman ruler.

Forum Hadriani took its name in the year 121 from the Roman Emperor Hadrian, who had the Germanic settlement completely rebuilt in Roman style. In the year 150, the next emperor, Antonius Pius, gave the settlement town rights. Hadrian even ruled his empire from Forum Hadriani for a short time – which temporarily made it the Roman capital.

My banner vote is In Great find, Chug!!!

wow that really is beautiful. Great find.

Wow, that definitely is a museum piece.

Might be worth while to take it to someone who has the knowledge to determine the age.

Nice find,

Ralph
