It probably dates from the late 19th century, when they were fairly popular. However, you can still buy them today.

HB, Rosettes are always a nice find, been about a year since I got my last one I believe, I do have one of those with the glass like PBK mentions, so does Mona Lisa and Seeker, this post of mine from the past has some photos of them, more intact.
