Round object. With squarish hole.

Found this metal detecting old 1800s lake 1800s house. What is this? How old could it possibly be?

It was one of two mounted on a dresser drawer, and thee handle went between them with two threaded studs holding each one on. I found one the other day. Late 18th to 19th century. They made them a long time.
