I have done under the porch hunts also, found one of my oldest wheats under the one porch. Nice finds.

Well under there don't get wet or anything,There was more news paper but it was in bad shape not even a full paper just the corner of about five pages. Not a lot down there just nails and bricks and more nails lol..

Take a look this isn't all of the nails this is just from round two lol..

Looks just about like you nailed it under there.LOL:tongue3:

I bet I could build a barn with all the nails lol..

All I've been doing to it is freezing it in water..still hard to see but I think it's 1864

I hooked it up to my electrolysis then put it back in water and froze it again check it out now knocked a lot off by just freezing it .. I wouldn't have ever cleaned it if I could read the date but I don't think I hurt it by doing it this way

Congrats on your IH ! You were right there just had to be a coin under there!

At lest the majority of the nails & stuff are straight and usable, probably better quality than what we buy today. I like finding old tools and getting them to work again.

Turned out good, nice way to clean them ?! :icon_scratch: Never heard of that way before.

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

Trust in your instinct I had a gut feeling there was.. I'm not done there yet could be another one if I'm lucky
