I just piked up a new Keene 175 and Im guessing a rubber dampner on the sluice would make a worthwhile difference?
How thick & how long would you guys recomend?

If you add one then it makes sense to have a thick/heavy but relatively short one....leaves more unobstructed riffles or expanded metal to work their magic.

Good luck.

Yep russau is right a heavy short damper will just clog the sluice by holding back big rocks. The action of a damper has no negative effects on how the riffles expanded or otherwise operate other than flattening the flow and squeezing out air bubbles which will Rob your fines.
