Went to the place of the former village. Possibly there was a market or hotel near main road. My detector caught weak, but a good signal. Some minutes I dug a hole what to get it. At first I thought that it was the silver coin, but soil was scattered and the hole of 15 inches in depth gave here this miracle.
Silver ring of the 16th century. On a ring the man with a saber and a plant is represented.
At this time in Russia the tsar Ivan the "Terrible" governed..

On rings the profile image of the soldier before which thin, smoothly curved trunk of a young tree is located is cut out - "a life tree" Such plot is well-known on the seals of the XV-XVI centuries on various documents. The composition "the soldier in a profile" is known on coins of the Moscow Russia in the XIV-XV centuries, and according to G.A.Fedorov-Davydov it "symbolizes the prince". It is possible to make the assumption that such rings belonged to the representative of princely administration.

Amazing Find! :notworthy: And with the history and age it certainly deserves "Banner"

That is a beautiful and rare find!

wow! excellent find! That could be a family crest on that ring. Really cool! I still remember digging a '2 kopeks' in the US and wondering what the heck it was doing all the way over here. *L*
