No, I did not say ALL Christians felt that way but, most do and all I was stating is that it should not come as a surprise that Phil feels that way given that he is a Christian. That's the odds. Also, to be "tolerant" or "open minded" about another person's lifestyle is not a stamp of approval. I'm tolerant and open minded about pink hair but I still think it looks funny.

I believe there is something lost here about this discussion. I believe there are two things here that are being discussed and some will try and intertwine them or confuse them.

1. There is tolerating homosexual behavior or accepting it because there is no choice in which you have. As an individual you cannot change it or weed it out of our society.

2. Then there is supporting homosexual behavior or championing it.

Phil Roberson does NOT support it and is being put out because of his view against homosexuality. I'd like to know why the other cast members do not come out and state the same thing in support of him… their silence is deafening. TNmountains stated this also. Maybe they don't support him? I believe some of the folks on this thread not only tolerate this behavior but actually support it as well by their defense of the homosexuals. I for one… like Phil… do not support this behavior at all and will speak out in support of this view any chance I get. But do NOT confuse my lack of support or respect for homosexuality with my ability to tolerate it within our society. Nobody's lack of support for this lifestyle should cost them anything!!! And those who support & champion this behavior would like those who just tolerate it to join them. So do "you" tolerate it or do you actually support "it"?

Chick-fil-A gave a public statement about what they considered a proper marriage. A handful of gay activists were overwhelmed by the majority in support of the corporate stance.

Many of you need to read my post # 20. This is a business matter; strictly a contractual issue.

People are free to say whatever they want. However, you better be prepared to handle the consequences if you choose to express that right.

Let me first say that I haven't watched their show, but I may start now just to support Phil. What A&E did by allowing that interview, all the while knowing that it was a VERY liberal reporter and liberal publication, without having a comunications representative of A&E present during the interview, was just asking for this brew ha ha to happen. A&E knew how Phil and his family felt on matters of this type, ahead of time, and A&E knew that there was an extremely good chance of a major problem coming from this interview. If they didn't, they're dumber than a box of rocks! I don't believe A&E is stupid, especially about the major money cow that this show is for them. With that in mind, I can't help but wonder if the whole deal was expected by A&E with Phil's suspension in mind too, just to drum up millions of dollars of publicity that they wouldn't have to pay for. Hell, everybody on almost every TV talk show and news show is talking about this right now, several times per day. Priceless advertising for the show, well beyond any shows budget!

For what it's worth, I think Phil had a perfect right to say what he said and I commend him for it and I agree with him! Read ALL of what Phil said, including his statements following in that interview before any libs in here start to slam me, please. He did NOT speak hateful of gays or lesbians, just basically that he doesn't believe in it and why and that he does NOT hate them by a long shot.

A&E have no right to so called fire him for using his rights of freedom of speech and freedom of religion. plus like I read so far he was not even on A&E Time. Heck if all of us where scrutinized for what we said of company property most of us would get fired.
