Hello All,
On Friday picked up four boxes of halves, four boxes of dimes, plus had two boxes of nickels leftover from last week to search. Haven't gone through everything yet, but so far here are the results:
Halves
Box 1: Skunk
Box 2: Skunk
Box 3: (4) 40%'s
Dimes
Box 1: Skunk
Box 2: (3) silver Roosies
Nickels
(2) war nicks (1943-P and 1943-S)
Something strange is going on with my halves. This is the third week in a row that I have received halves with hardly any CRH marks. In addition, the coins all seem to be "clean", even the coins from the '70's and '80's that are often loaded with crud look very shiny. So my question is...do the coin sorting companies like Brinks, etc. ever clean their coins before rolling them? Could be a coincidence, but my finds have dropped way off since getting these clean halves. Right now I'm assuming my poor results are just because many people are looking, but I don't know.
