Driving by an old school in the city I notice that parts of the building were being renovated and the parking lot was being torn out bingo!!!
Came back with my golden XLT and hit the dirt first coin was a 1920 wheatie and then several more wheaties all from the 20s but no silver The next day i came back and more asphalt was torn out closer to the school this is where i found a 1911 d barber dime a 1888 IH,1894 IH,and a 1906 IH
Third day I found two mercurys a 1919 and a 1942 this is the most oldies ive found in one spot the total area was about 60'by 80'.Down a hill at the school there was an old track field that was being bulldozed to make a new soccer field and the first coin found was an 1841 seated dime with a hole in it probably worn as a good luck charm by a student at the school because i dont think the area was inhabited that long ago
