Today the Se gave me another look at what it can do...it got the usual clad...pinpointing was perfect and the ground was soft. Got a 26 and 58-d wheatie, and a 35 merc that was so deep the flat metal handle part of the Lesche was inside the ground! :o Damn I am gonna love this machine! Here we go...fired up...fired up...yes...this machine is what I have heard...2nd silver for it in just a few hunts......... :sunny:

Cool finds Greg.... I'm a little surprised about the pin pointing being good :icon_scratch: a lot of the guys in the UK say that the pin pointing on the Minelabs are not very good :'( and I must admit when I have seen them in use the holes dug tend to be very wide :-\ but you must have conquered these problems

The pinpointing is different...it does take a while to get used to. I try to center the target and when the signal breaks..work an "x" around it. Oh also I did switch to the 8" coil...helped a ton! :)

Hey Ron...I had that battery pack in you sold me! See it helped already! Thanks! Good job on the silver yourself...glad you are getting out... :)

Hello Gregg!
Good to see you and Ms SE are doing just fine! Don't give up on the DFX as I think it's better on nickels!

I took mine (SE) out today and, though the hunting was tough did managed to pull a 1961 D Rosie from the ground alone with the usual clads.

Congrats on your bonding, :)

Thanks to everyone that responded...hope to keep seeing all of your finds this year too.

I think your silver count will go very high this year, and no disrespect to the DFX because I remember you used a very small coil and lost depth. I believe you will be even more amazed with your SE tho!! The more you use it, the more those "iffy" signals will appear not so iffy!! Good Luck and hope to see many more silver coins, but prefer to see Seated and barbers!!

Congrats! As I am saving for an SE, it's nice to keep hearing reviews like yours! I have systematically hunted a few areas in the one park I have hunted for two years, and cant wait to see what was missed by my BH QD II !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :icon_sunny:

WTG Gregg  congrats on the silver and the wheats  I spend more time digging with the se then ever before ! I just need the time to get out there, too much work right now >:( but glad you made it out

you will not find anything that searches the ground deeper than the minelabs!!!!

NICE

Those deepies you got just put a smile on my face!! :headbang:
Nice job, Gregg. If you're digging over 7", I know you're starting to get the hang of the machine.

Good luck on your next hunt!!

My brother has a Minelab Gregg, problem is he's only been out with it twice......his loss I guess.Excellent work with the new machine!Congrat's and HH!!

You're going to find yourself digging many more dimes and wheaties... and 8" is not really that unusual. I was just telling someone that I think I missed a lot of coins because I just didn't dig deep enough :)

Congrats!
