Another 3 hours and it is starting to make more sense. Today I began to dig some of thoose iffy signals ( they jump around, but sound good ) and i started digging clad. My take is it is clad that is adjacent to junk ( however i didnt always find the junk ).

Tommorow ill get out again and see what i can unearth.

today

4 25
5 10
handfull of pennies
2 keys
1 can

I cant wait to learn more about this machine, its so different then what i am used to.

Sunray probe is on order

Keep going. Has the machine caused you and arm discomfort? I think I had mine adjusted wrong and got a bit of strain to the right elbow. All fixed now.

I know what you mean it is hard to tell what the machine is saying sometimes. :)

You will love the sunray.

Sounds like the training is going well.

It's only going to get better if you commit yourself to dealing with the "flute symphony"

Hang in there, Trevor. You're doing well!!

The sunray probe will help recover your finds much faster, so you'll have more time swinging instead of digging/finding.

Just keep listening to those good tones. Remember, a signal could be composed of 2 or 3 closely matched tones, all creating a flutey sound when you wiggle your coil back and forth over your target.

I bought an SE in June, love it. I am now trying to buy a second for backup and different coils. This machine has a little learning curve, however it will pull very deep signals. Learn to go with iron mask turned way down, you will eventually be able to have the unit in all metal and be able to listen to it "sing" picking up targets just by sound.

I think the SE is more of a relic machine as apposed to a coin (clad) machine.

Keep swinging it!

Glad your getting the hang of it now. The real fun is just starting....

FD,

I use the all metal mode and I am amazed at what the screen tells me, For a long time i did not use all metal and now I do because I went to a hammerd site No signals anywhere and just for giggles switched off Iron Mask, Right away I found a large colonial Sun burst button at 10 in deep as well as some smaller buttons and other stuff,Some time when you are in a field or the woods try it u might be suprised.
