Started the hunt at a park by work that I found a few gold rings this year. No gold but kept adding to the clad count...105 coins close to $7. Also a 41-d wheatie, 2 tokens...one says World of wonders 1992. Half of the coins came from a tot lot and sand volleyball court before hitting the dirt. Also a 76 Canadian quarter which I am guessing is not silver by the reading...almost did not see it. Got a broken reading in tot lot was right on surface. It did rain here all night which softened up the soil finally. Ready for a day off from detecting tomorrow after 3 in a row.

You always have nice finds and plenty of clad. I'll bet the parents of those kids tip them upside down before they go home so there wouldn't be any sand in their clothes. That is an amazing amount of clad. Like the Chuckie Cheese Token also.

Wouldn't it be nice to hit a pocket spill of about 1,153 clad coins? :D That would make the process much easier! Keep it up, bud!

Looking good, keep em coming.

It sure would be nice....biggest today was 4....Just want to get it over now...Will be fun cleaning and cashing in also. :)

You are a hound dog! Now's the time after the rain, that makes the deep silver sounds a lot more clear.
You are a very dedicated hunter keep it up! I really enjoy watching you're progress.

Thanks everyone...taking a day off tomorrow so I can bend on Friday! :-\

Gregg, I need a job like you have....with all that vacation time..lol Great pile of coins my friend...Won't be long now and have a nice day tomorrow resting....

I'd say 12,000 will be your end count. Thats alot of digging and at least you can enjoy the cleaning and spending, enough to buy a probe and another coil or save it for another detector?? Nice finds!!

Not sure yet Jack...as soon as I hit 10,000...I am going to slow down....Would like to buy a few more goodies... :)

I have been off for awhile catching up on business, but it looks like your still hard at it. You ought to be close now. Way to go Bud!

Nice haul Gregg

How many hours a day are you detecting to reach 10,000?

I do not hunt every day. I started this year hunting 3 days a week. I since have increased it to 4 days a week...and sometimes 5. Each hunt is 3 to 4 hours...it has become a grind at this point...but it should be over this month...
