This is my second Standing Liberty Quarter in 2 weeks time and at this same local park. The park has been detected to death but it's consistently delivered keeper finds for me. Last year I pulled out a 24 inch 18K gold necklace and on the same day a 1960 sterling class ring. The key to hunting these detected out parks is to go where most people wont go. The borders of the park, or along the curbs or in the wooded hard to reach areas when the foliage is in full bloom. This is why early spring hunting is the best in my opinion; ground cover is light and the bugs are not out yet. If anyone's interested, I found this with my Makro Kruzer in 3 tone 89 gain 19kHz. It screamed at me at 90 VDI, and was about 3 inches down.
These were the first finds in the park on the 7th of April.

This is the one i found yesterday. It was the first signal I dug in the thick underbrush on the side of the park. I'm betting the brush wasn't there back in the 20's

No rubbing allowed when cleaning off this coin, and it's in the best shape of any SLQ I have ever dug, let alone a'21.
