Wouldn't hurt to crush half a ton or so, just in case :) You never know right!

:) The Old ancient river channels used to run in a North to South direction and a lot of streams now days cut through these sedimentary Conglomerates.

We have a big formation around here in Douglas County, You can see it up Cow Creek and around the Ollala area.

I saw some gold once that came out of this conglomerate, it was in a tall Alkaseltzer bottle and it filled the bottle up.

All of the Gold was just smaller than a peewee marble and just slightly flattened, it had black pitted holes and the gold was not real shiny, actually you could tell it had just been broken free of the conglomerate material.

It has been thirty years since this was shown to me.

I know nothing more about it!

I have seen up to three ounce nuggets in conglomerate. As mentioned the ancient channel carried massive amounts of gold and big gold as well. The gravels are cemented and the gold is often inside, nothing dictates if it is small or big
