Hey ya'll! So I was curious about the buckles and this rivet thing from my last hunt. I was wondering if any of you recognized them (or anything else in the pics) as something identifiable, or just "neat old buckles"

The buckles and rivit are all horse tack related, so is the swivel

Cool, thanks! I like to save my bits anyways, but it's nice to know about their use when they were new. Any clue on age, or were pieces like this used long enough that it's difficult to put a time period to?

Can you please post another photo or two of the iron item with the ring and some measurements. Is the bar going through the middle round or square?Thanks

Sure thing!! The oval is 4 1/2 inches long by about 2 1/2 inches wide. The ring is about 2 1/4 inches OD.

Oh, just saw your round/square peg question. Square-ish. There's distinct sides, but heavily rounded corners.
