shell case id?

[RJH02]

I found these today in the woods behind my apt. I found them near a huge tree that must be 200 yrs old.

Can anyone i.d. the shell case for me? It is 1/4 in wide and a 1/2 in long. The bottom has no primer on it like a modern shellcase does. I also found this bullet not too far from it. Thanks.

The casing is a rimfire. There should be a marking on the bottom.

No markings of any kind, I looked with a light and under a magnifying glass.
