Shield Nickels, 1831 Large, Early Artillery Button, and 1860s Glass Finds!

Hello All,

Here are the highlights of the two weeks of diggin after the Spring thaw (when I was away from the forum), plus the highlights from the muddy hunt day before yesterday...

First off, here's Rodeo Recon at an oddly-situated housesite we found near a spring.



A Civil War Eagle Button I dug day before yesterday:



Powder Flask Spout dug the same hunt by Rodeo Recon:



And the rest of the flask (The other side was in pieces, but will still clean up pretty well for display):



I "dug" an 1868 Shield Nickel. (But really it just beeped at me from where it was laying right on top of the ground in a bean field ):







And Rodeo dug what looks like an 1867 Shield. (The front was not incredible in terms of detail)




A nice victorian brooch with almost all of the gilding left, dug by me:
