Short Hunt nets a bud

The ground has been frozen solid since I got my machine. I went to a park last week and found a Japanese Yen, but that was a surface find. Today I decided to do a quick scan of the lawn of the house next door to where I work. We own that house as well as our building, so permission was not an issue. It's an older house, so I figured I'd find some old stuff. (so old that they used tree trunks in the basement to hold up the main beams) I spent like 10 minutes looking. Located the inground sprinkler heads down about 1-1/2 inches. About 3 inches down I found a Budweiser can. It's aluminum, but it has the removable old style pull tabs. Also found plenty of wire. Seems they didnt bury the wire down very far. So, I kept finding it in all different places on the lawn. No pic of the can, but I can describe it in 1 word: FLAT. :laughing9:

I haven't mastered photo taking yet. Tried to take a pic of the yen I found, but I can't get it right. I am hoping to meet up with someone who can give me pointers. It could be that I just dont have a good camera. I don't have an SLR.

Welcome to Tnet. The yen sounds interesting. That the problem with old houses. There are gonna be some you find stuff and some you find nothing.
You might ask Mr. Duglas to help you with the camera, and if the house needs leveled, don't forget to use some of Lisa's pancakes. :laughing9:

Who needs pictures with such vivid descriptions: "About 3 inches down I found a Budweiser can. It's aluminum, but it has the removable old style pull tabs. I can describe it in 1 word: FLAT"!! Nice Job! :thumbsup:

Check out the NIKON COOLPIX S630 camera. Not to expensive at Best Buy, and a great camera. Really does good on coins, and everything. Good Luck, and Happy Hunting....
