Just might be my last hunt of the year, screwed my knee of the day before Thanksgiving and had to keep off my knee and this cold morning before I go and find out if I need surgery, with a crutch in one hand and a detector in the other made my way to a small Park near me. Sorry, no pic but managed a Washington dollar, seven quarters, eight dimes, seven nickels, eight memorial cents, and a note to myself for doing something stupid. Looks like 10,000 is not going to happen, but had a great year as far as numbers, not so good in the gold/silver numbers tho. But hey, that Bust Half made my year!!

That ought to have been a sight to see, hobbling around with a metal detector
& a crutch. Hope you can avoid surgery, but if not good luck with it. I'm waiting
to go in for a detached bicep & torn rotator cuff, I know that won't be a fun rehab. Good huntin'

That really bites, Jack, the knee I mean. Hope it all works out good.

Ken.

Hope ya get to feeling better soon, Jack. :)

Sorry to here about your leg Jack. Can one use a scooter from Walmart and metal detect? ;-)

I went to the South end of the gorge and checked a site up on the west hillside. There is a concrete stair and rail that goes up to a flat spot that has a stone wall in the hillside. Found three 1950's wheaties and some TV antenna aluminum.

Called it quits and hit a combined corn field on the way home to scarf up some eyeball-detected missed ears of corn for the squirrels to eat on our window sill this winter - drives my cats nuts.
