Nice post Max. I like the mods you did with the shaft, but I like the S shaft maybe because I am used to it. Though I have a straight shaft for the Excal, the controls are hug from my neck. The straight shaft is lots longer so I can stand still and get a large sweep pattern.

Well Max just to let you know i am one that never did like stright rods.............On any of my detectors..... I am just a S rod type of person......... I would buy stright rods try them out ...............Then i put the S rod back on...And would sell the stright rod..........
