Personally, I say no way....I do believe it would be confiscated, IMHO the Native American Graves Protection and Reparations act goes way to far in regards to American artifacts, and for that matter human remains....they seem to want to claim anything buried in the ground before Columbus got here..no questions or research allowed.

Never, ever show or tell any "Arckie" what you found. Don't release any info at all about where you found it either. Archeologist's would like to stop us from moving any dirt on private land because there "could" be artifacts there that they think they need to preserve for future generations (of archeologist's.)

You don't need to have it authenticated unless you want to sell it to a museum, and then they will confiscate it anyway.
