recently hatched from the incubator.

First time incubating. We set 54 eggs. 32 hatched. Over the first 10 days or so, we lost 15. 17 lived.
We kept 9. They're 3 + weeks old now. Will take a picture tomorrow.

Oh yeah, and by the way.... why don't chickens wear underwear?

Growing up on a farm we'd find our own entertainment...anytime we found a nest not in the coop...instant hand gernades...

Shot gun shells (with shot loads removed) slammed in a vice in the barn and hammered was always good (until caught...)

Shoulder mounted galvanized iron water pipe bazooka's with M80's, sacking and some marbles was also good (til caught...)

Whammo sling shots was another pass time...especially if the bull was within range...again, always good (til caught...)

We were the real Katz & Jammer kids...


Most recipe books called for xtra large eggs...hence, duck eggs...

(Know why eggs are tapered?)

The rooster sculpture is a memorial to my late rooster, Barack. He keeps the girls company when they are cooped up...

The fact that their peckers are on their face, eliminates the need for underwear...
