I wouldn't call you a jerk but I will say that you need to spend a little more time on spelling.

Or punctuation :laughing7:

Spike TV and TruTV are the home of staged/fake shows. The networks hope there is an audience of people stupid enough to not realize their intelligence is being insulted. I think it all started with a show called Operation Repo. Anyway, I watched one Savage Family Diggers episode where they were looking for Detroit car industry relics. There were so many signs the show is fake. Freshly painted graffiti on surrounding buildings with unrealistic messages. One backyard that "just happened" to have lots of buried tools buried just 10 inches underground? Give me a break! I noticed when Rick Savage was going around asking home owners for permission to dig, one person asked, "Are you filming me?". This was clearly an attempt to help make the show look like it's not staged.

I don't give a crap about the website, all is know is the show has got to go. The name of it reminds me of the Obamanator's campaign slogan though. Of course if any private or personal info has to be given then they can forget about me signing anything. I just found them doing a quick search for stuff against the tv show.

Agreed.

LOL Operation Repo I remember that crap.

they used to break so many laws, if real they were probably stuck buying the people their
vehicles back, to avoid jail sentences.

Ive never watched those shows but still found this pretty funny.

this show is total bs, like them diving in a pond, probably made in the last 100 years and finding a CANON! WTF???? i do not know anybody who has ever found a vanon, people who have found canon balls, or artilery shells, but a cannon? that is like finding blackbeard standing in timesquar in the 2013 newyears celibration. who agrees with me?

You guys ever watch Private Parts, the movie about Howard Stern? Here is a little quote from that movie:

Researcher: The average radio listener listens for eighteen minutes. The average Howard Stern fan listens for - are you ready for this? - an hour and twenty minutes.
Pig Vomit: How can that be?
Researcher: Answer most commonly given? "I want to see what he'll say next."
Pig Vomit: Okay, fine. But what about the people who hate Stern?
Researcher: Good point. The average Stern hater listens for two and a half hours a day.
Pig Vomit: But... if they hate him, why do they listen?
Researcher: Most common answer? "I want to see what he'll say next."

For a bunch of guys who seem to hate this show, why do you continue to watch it?

that sounds like me on here
they read my post just to see what i have to say

BOOM BABY BOOM" man, that dude is obnoxious. I've never seen Hume even find a pull tab!

they need to just get it off the air, the other day i was watching it, their was a pair of brass knuckles out from under the concrete, total bs, didnt look like they were their long, almost no patena. total bs

I tell you who is cleaning up on those tv shows. The metal detector companies...sales are sky rocketing!

And here I thought that was my job :laughing7:

You see, I actually go the extra mile to give solid advise (Which may, or may not be legal in your state, so check the laws)
In this case, I can actually see the stress has caused the original poster and without reading all the posts, I know the proper answer was never given. So here it goes

Normally I would say just change the channel, but it appears you have deeper issues. I'd suggest reading some of the other forums that contain some fiery debates. Get fired up yourself and shoot the TV, then you'll never have to watch the show again :icon_thumright:

Are you all a bunch of whiny haters? or do you have valid complaints? is the show faked, and stuff planted? I dont assume yes or no. Its possible. amazing how this show comes along, and all of a sudden antique dealers want to buy rusty broken scraps for top dollar. But Rick did commit fraud in his New Orleans episode. A gold Corsage/flower holder was found. We saw Rick Give that gold flower-holder to his wife. So the property owner gets 20% of the sale proceeds. Well, what about the stuff that ric keeps? The Property owner in the New Orleans episode got screwed out of any value on that gold flower holder. .... ....true, why dont property owners just do digs themselves! That has to be wondered. Ric Savage is on twitter. My valid questions and comments get ignored, but the savages wanted to pick a fight with me when I said the rock band AC/DC sucks. That comment was in response to some comment they made about that band's record sales. Something else that suggests the whole show is a fraud: Before the show, Ric was some sort of Civil War enthusiast. go to Ricks Website: he has civil war bullets for sale. Something Ive known for a long time; Theres been lots of civil war bullets dug up. Rick doesnt sell much of anything else, but he sells civil war bullets. so maybe all you ric savage haters are correct! Its interesting how he's something of an expert on what he finds as soon as he digs it up!!! At Least rick harrison on pawn stars says "let me call somebody who can come down and tell us more about this."

The problem is the show is a reanactment of what he claims he has found in the past. So yes it is fake in that sense. But the network is going on his word that he found any of that stuff to begin with.

Then the whole show is one huge piece of bullshit. Cause how do you show re-enactments of digs, and then show negotiations with antiques dealers for the same items? I didnt know the show showed re-enactments of past digs!!! Maybe somebody can comment, and either support or refute what you said. Another thing that proves its fake: Ric often preaches about time is money, and if he cant do the dig, he's wasting time and money. Well, how do you do digs, always expecting to make money? thats why metal detecting is a hobby!!! who builds a business around it? Lets look overall at reality TV: I believe pawn stars is real!!!! American Pickers I wanted to be real, but I read some accusations that that it might be faked. Savage Diggers I also wanted to be real, but Im seeing too much bullshit in Savage diggers to believe it. Then there's the Long Island Medium. Is she full of crap? I dont know. Are the producers scripting that show? ....metal detecting: cool hobby. as a business? Ric Savage: are you full of sh--?

one of you mentioned the show operation repo? I live in South Florida; South Beach Tow was the show with Tremont towing of Miami, somebody here in town told me he knows the owners of Tremont towing, and that show was fake. Somebody who lives in south florida and knows the owners of the tow company must know what hes talking about.

everybody ridicules Geraldo Rivera for opening a safe owned by Al Capone and finding nothing. all the Geraldo haters would have accused him of planting stuff. Assuming reality producers plant stuff in storage lockers, and holes in the ground, etc, Geraldo should be held up with respect for that show he did. Geraldo didnt plant anything.

Harcore Pawn does seem like one reality show that is real for the most part. Thats the show done at a pawn shop in Detroit.
