Yes, it's a cool design. They are quite heavy so factor that into your decision making.

I think it would be an expensive experiment to try one out. I personally think it's a gimmick and it isn't any better than a Keene sluice. If you have to have an open type sluice, take the guts out of a Keene and install Gold Hog mat. That would be money much better spent, and it would be worlds lighter.
