My neighbor saw my nephew and me out in another neighbor's yard yard MDiing. He said he's watched me MD my yard and curiosity got the best him. I explained MDing and what I've found in the yards. He said good luck and I was welcome to hunt his yard anytime!

I took him up on the offer today. After three hours you can see the results. The best of the lot: a 1956 Roosevelt dime and a 1968 Rabies tag. The rest is assorted junk, a key, a some can slaw.

I showed him the results and he said "that's nothing like you see on TV!" We laughed and told him since it was Sunday I didn't want to pay for a backhoe. I said this is the reality of metal detecting. He said I was welcome back anytime.

Yep that's reality, and MANY days come without any silver.

if those so called 'reality' shows would show true reality, they would be so boring nobody would watch them

Congrats on the silver and dog tag. :icon_thumright:

Thanks. Not a bad weekend for hitting no place special. Just over $2 in clad from a school and a little bit of silver today. Swinging a beep stick for 6 hours in the sunshine - doesn't get much better than that.
