The dog tag at the bottom say's Fort Dodge 1946. My husband found the bullet but we don't know what kind it is. It looks like WC but it looks different than the one's i've looked up. Does anyone have any idea?? He also found the weird token about the salt. (pics are of the front and back) As anyone seen any of these before? The 1947 quarter has something on it. I tried to clean it up but couldn't. As you see, I've been lucky in the dime dept. Nothing older than 1942 for me though but I'm having FUN!!

Nice finds!!! That is a lotta silver :o

On the bullet ID...I think Nana is gettin close. I also believe this is a Williams cleaner bullet, and it is closest in style to type III, but it isn't quite right. Also close is the bullet listed as #514 in McKee's "Civil War Projectiles" book. That one is listed as "Experimental Williams cleaner bullet," but it appears to be missing the disc at the base.

Way to Go!

Nice finds down there in NC. That's a lot of silver.

I live in Fort Dodge, Iowa. That dog was a long way from home!

Great silver! Interesting that the Merc has the hole in it, must have been part of a pendant or on a chain. I've been fortunate in that department, as only one of my old coins has been pierced in the same manner. Unfortunately though it was my 3rd oldest coin, an 1854 French coin. Congrats on all your finds!

Holy Moly!
Silver coins, a cool old token and a CW cleaner bullet!

Congratulations!

Cheers!

Very cool finds! I found a vaccination tag exactly like that except it's from 1957.

I love the lock. Bullet's neat too.
As 99Brown said the swastika was a symbol of good luck pre-WWII.

Looks like they carved the bottom ring off that cleaner. Nice find. Tsgman

Nice variety of finds. Great job. I found two dog tags last week too.

WTG ODG!! That is nice.....silver is always good. That is a great day for you two. Kudos!!

that's a LOT of silver coinage...is that from a single day's hunt? If so, you're on a great site and I am sure there's LOTS more there to be had!

Some of the older tokens are cooler than coins!

Excellent!

Everything was found in a few weeks time and all of it came out of the same area except the 1947 Q. The spot as been good to us but it seems like finding things are few and far between now. :)

Congrats on your finds and thats a cool token :o
