Got a new embossed Shamokin milk bottle today. "Shamokin sanitary milk co, quality purity service Shamokin PA" Also got a Shamokin soda bottle but its cracked. The crock has a chip on top. But turn it the other way and it looks great on the shelf. Also got a few blue ones. I was metal detecting all mourning in the fields with ED and Gary. Only good find was a 1941 silver Washington quarter. Which is my 1st silver coin this month.

Milk bottles have good value, only if they are in nice shape. If every milk bottle came out looking minty none of them would be worth anything. I would rate that bottle poor-fair, maybe $5 if you find a collector. $30-$40 in excellent condition. Scratches tend to be the biggest issue for all bottles, especially milk bottles because most of them are clear and any scratch is visible.

When you find very good+ milk bottle, then you have something special. For me this is about every 5th milk bottle I dig.

I know that Shamokin is a big Amish town , just for that the milk should have some value .
