:hello2: Hi,

Got to the beach today 2 hrs. before low tide; it was sunny, but very windy; hunted 2 hrs.

I usually hunt the west end of this popular detecting beach, but today I decided on a change of scenery and headed to the east end where it was quieter...I needed "quiet" today.

It was a sad day for me today because I had to put my dear blind rescue dog, Jacky "To sleep"...very difficult decision, but I believe it was the correct decision.

I miss Jacky terribly.

Sooooooooo, the fresh air and quiet surroundings were a welcome diversion .

Not much in the way of treasures, but I think I'm getting closer to the "Big Finds"...I hope so.

Here's pics,

Thanks for looking

Lorraine

Hi Lorraine
So sorry to hear about your loss of Jacky. I know how much your pal meant to you and Hank. Both of you are special people in my book. Jacky's being blind didn't stop you from giving Jacky a loving home. God bless you and Hank.
Nice finds, you're a brave soul, Lorraine, it's getting raw out on that beach now. Have you found the beaches changed much by Sandy?
regards
Ed

Thank you, Wingmaster

Thank you, Ed.

Regarding the beaches here: no, I did not see much change by Sandy...sand moved into the beaches, and now with the windy weather, the sand is starting to blow off the beaches. No big cuts found, but lots of debris deposited which is now being removed little by little by trucks, plows, etc.

Am hoping for more windy weather to help me get to the bottom of the beach terrain.

Sorry about Jacky.

Detecting brings me a lot of solace when I need that...and friends when I need that! Thanks for your posts ... I like 'em!

Thank you , Dr. Joe.

Hank and I tried to give Jacky the best quality of life while we were fortunate to have him as part of our family.

Jacky loved the beach ..running on the "muddy flats", and tethered by my side, he often helped me detect for treasures .

That picture of Jacky is worth a thousand words...sorry Lorraine...good luck out there.

Thank you, lookindown.
