I spent a couple hours this morning at some property that dates probably to the early 19th century. A few others have already been over it so I wasn't expecting much. But my first hit was the 1923 dime (my first Mercury!)! I later found the 1907 Quarter (my first Barber!) and the 1959 dime. The silver was so pretty in the dirt :D

I also found this square ring thing that I posted about in What is It? Any ideas on that one?

Yay!

Nice finds and congrats.

It's a beautiful sight seeing that silver up against that black soil.

Good finds that barber is in good shape ,that mini picture cameo frame is it brass or copper ? Dd60

Thanks all!

Deepdiger - thanks for the info on the object ;D There are some ideas going on in the "What is it" but cameo frame sounds good and is right in line with the mindset I think.

I think it is brass but I don't know for sure. After I cleaned it I noticed some bright shiny yellow coming out.
