Silver Franklin Half SCORE!!! First for me

Hello All...

Went out with my buddy Tejasdigger a couple days ago...Seemed like a good Idea..100 degree weather..In direct Sun..

Well, we went and hit up some abandonded houses, and the first 2 houses were just horrible. I think we might have dug 4 coins between us in the first 1hr we were there...

So he told me about another place to hit up....When we got there, it didnt seem to promising...About every other signal was a Half Dollar/Dollar signal..and turned out to be Copper pipes..Hood Ornaments...etc..

Except for one.... We had been there for about 20 minutes..with only 2 Memorials to show...When I got a straight up 50_cent signal..

I wasnt expecting anything at all as I had just dug 4 of those signals before this one...I was actually looking over at my buddy about to comment on how HORRIBLE this place was, when I looked in the hole and actually saw a coin...

When I first saw it..it was black..so I thought it was a Clad Kennedy...(which would have been a first)...then I turned it over and saw the Bell

OMG!!!....I can tell you that 100 degree weather wasnt holding back the chills...It was a 1959 Franklin Half Dollar!!!

I fell like a dumb-arse for scratching the hell out of the front..But I really was expecting to dig out some more copper

Anyway...Havent been on TNet in a while showing my finds...thought I would share this

Don't sweat the scratch,I dinged a walking liberty today,oh well! Of all the halves I've found the Franklin has always been the elusive one,Nice Find!

Oh Cool, I have noticed you dont see him much on these forums, It was only my second half I've ever found too...my first was a Walker...It amazes me how big they are and how it can just be "lost"...But no complaints here
