silver from church/picnic area

these are finds from the church and picnic area that has been around since the 1920s.

1930s-40s mercury dimes
1950s and 60s rosevelts.
1940s-1950s quarters
most of these coins where found at 3-9 inches deep
it was difficult to pick up on the deeper coins-i had my standard coil hard pressed to the ground getting a slight mellow tone of maybe and inch square and sometimes a tone on one axis. if i was unsure about whether it was a coin or trash id cut a plug and run my detector over the hole. this really helped. more than anything this has been a great learning experience as far as finding silver.
i had my settings on pull tab and foil and the sensitivity turned to the max.

i also found 30plus wheats in this area dating from 1916-1958.


Im gonna go back and hunt all metal and dig everything,theres alot of zoysia grass in this area which makes it hard to get the deep stuff.

NICE LITTLE PILE OF SILVER LUMPSUMS. I LOVE THE MERCS. ONE OF MY FAVORITE COINS.
 
That's what I call a good day of hunting :hello2: Nice haul. That will surely bring up your annual totals real fast :o
