At lunch I hit up two of my regular spots and picked up 8 rolls of halves. I managed 2-64's and 3-40's. My teller asked if I was interested in a couple silver certs, and I said, why not.
I'm not big into collectible bills, but thought they might make nice gifts for collector friends.
I also purchased my first gold coin and a couple silver dollars with the profit from the earlier sale of some 40% halves. Ahhhhh, gold.

Cool  looks like one of the silver certificates is a star note. Love the $10 Indian, I may have to get me one

Ten dollar Indian coins are great that is for sure. Way to go! Good grab on the silver certs.

Those silver certificates are extremely nice looking. Great find. I have never found any in banks. HH Doug

Nice score on the silver certificates! Even in low grades you can easily double or triple your money if you find the right buyer. If you have a star note, depending on condition you can easily get $5-6 for it.

If you can find the right buyer, a lot of paper money is pretty valuable.

Also, nice eagle! I'm thinking about getting some US gold since premiums are low. Its in pretty nice condition too, and you can't go wrong with the Morgans, what are the mints on them?

nice score!! how much was the gold piece? i believe it has just under 1/2 ounce of gold.

Melt value is $746.86 with gold at $1543.90/oz. But, man, that is pretty. I have a $20 St. Gaudens, and a few Liberties, but no Indians......

Thanks all, the Morgans are 1880-S, 1884, and 1898-S. I paid about 5% over melt.
The gold piece I paid a $50 premium.

$50 premium isn't that bad for it :icon_thumright:

It also has a surprisingly low mintage, the 1912 only has slightly more than 400 thousand made, not really a "key date" but at least it is one of the better date ones.

Love the gold indian. Bought a 2 1/2 dollar indian a while ago but the $10 is on top of my want list.

Sweet Gold Indian D!! Love it, Congrats on the Silver Certificates and Morgans too :hello2:

Nice score. The $10 is on my want list also the 2 1/2 gold is on there. May be one day they will make it to my home......Matt
